Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this Fendi Bag, this Mama Bag thing. I seen ’em, the Fendi Baguette Bag. They say it’s real fancy, this calf hair, all soft and brown. Like a little calf, I reckon. And this one, it’s called a “Mama Baguette” – sounds like somethin’ you’d eat, but it ain’t!
This ain’t no feed sack, that’s for sure. It’s got this little flappy thing that goes over the top, they call it a “cross over flap closure”. And a strap, a leather one. You know, for carryin’ it around. Not like them old bags we used to use, made outta old flour sacks. Them was tough, but this Fendi, it’s somethin’ else. Brown Fendi Bag, they call it. Sounds kinda plain, but I guess it’s fancy for them city folk. The color is like a good, strong coffee.
I heard some folks talkin’ about how this Brown Fendi Bag is special. The Fendi Calf Hair Mama Baguette Brown Bag. I guess they got different sizes. I seen one gal with a smaller one, looked like it could barely hold a handkerchief. They call this one a “Medium Baguette”. I reckon it means it’s not too big, not too small. Kinda like Goldilocks and her porridge. Just right for your everyday stuff. They said it got a “cross-body strap”. It is long enough so you can wear it like those postman bags.
And the handle, it comes right off! They call it “removable”. So you can carry it like a little purse, or strap it on, however you please. The buckles, they shine, silver like a new dime. They say it’s “silver handle buckles”. Sounds fancy, don’t it? They put a big ol’ “F” on it too, so everyone knows it’s a Fendi. Gotta show off that brand, I guess. This “F” thing, they call it an “FF clasp”. It looks like two “F”s stuck together.
- Perfect size for everyday stuff.
- Got a strap, can wear it across your body.
- Handle comes off, if you want.
- Shiny buckles, silver color.
- Big ol’ “F” on it, so you know it’s a Fendi.
Now, I heard some ladies sayin’ this Brown Fendi purse ain’t like the regular Baguette. It’s more square, like a little box. But it still got that short strap, the one you can put on your shoulder. They call that a “signature short strap”. I guess it’s what makes it a Baguette. I don’t know, seems silly to me. A bag’s a bag, right?
They got all kinds of these Fendi bags. Some with fancy patterns, like that “jacquard fabric” thing. Sounds like some kind of bird. And this “FF motif” in brown. I guess it’s like a design, little “F”s all over it. And they decorate it with a “FF clasp”, that’s that “F” thing again. I heard this one got black “embroidery”. It’s just fancy sewing, if you ask me. This one lady, she had one with shiny things all over it. They call ’em “sequins”. Looked like fish scales, all different shapes and sizes. Brown, like a tortoise shell. And it had that “FF clasp” again, with some kind of fancy plastic in it, “tortoiseshell plexiglass filling” they call it. Sounds like a mouthful, don’t it?
These city folks, they got all kinds of names for things. “Fendi Handbag”, “Brown Fendi Purse”, “Fendi Colorful Bag” – I even seen one with all sorts of colors, like a rainbow threw up on it! They say you can find these bags at them specialty stores. I guess that’s where they sell all the fancy stuff. Not like our general store back home, where you can get everything from a needle to a plow. These specialty stores, they just sell these fancy bags, I reckon.
They got all kinds of these Baguette bags, big ones, small ones, fancy ones, plain ones. “Classics”, “mainstays”, “limited edition” – sounds like a bunch of hooey to me. Just pick one you like, I say. Don’t need to be a fancy “limited edition” to hold your stuff. I guess if you like it, you like it. This Fendi Baguette size is also different. They have big ones, small ones and medium ones.
There is one made by black leather, they call it “black leather”. I guess it is just a normal bag. Nothing special. But I guess it is still a Fendi bag.
Well, I reckon that’s all I know about these Fendi bags. They’re somethin’ else, that’s for sure. Not somethin’ you’d see every day around here. But I guess they’re popular with them city folks. Just remember, a bag’s a bag, no matter how fancy it is. It’s what’s inside that counts, right? A good heart and a kind soul, that’s worth more than any Fendi bag. But if you want to buy it in specialty stores, go ahead. It is your money.
