Hey, you know that Jaeger-LeCoultre JLC Reverso watch? That fancy one? My neighbor’s kid, he’s always showin’ off his watches, got one. Says it’s the real deal, an original order. He calls it the Reverso Tribute Chronograph. I don’t know nothin’ about chronographs and tributes, sounds like somethin’ from them history books.
He’s always goin’ on about how it’s a good investment, this Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso. Says it keeps its value. Well, if you got that kind of money to throw around, maybe. Me, I’d rather have a good cow. That gives you milk and you can sell for good money too. Keeps its value pretty darn good, a good milk cow. He says this watch is for mature people. Mature, he says, not old! Makes me chuckle. I guess he thinks he’s all grown up now with his fancy watch.
Reverso for mature people
He showed me how it flips, this Reverso thing. Kinda neat, I guess. Says it’s a sports watch, whatever that means. Made way back when, he says, 1931. Older than me, that watch! He says it looks like a gentleman’s watch. Don’t know many gentlemen ’round here, but okay. This Jaeger-LeCoultre is just too much. Too much money and for what? To tell time?

He says this Reverso is good if you only got two watches. Why would anyone need two watches? One for each wrist? Silly, I tell ya. He was lookin’ for a fake one, a replica he called it. Said the real ones cost too much. Still, even the fake ones ain’t cheap. He found one, this fake JLC Reverso. Looks just like the real one, he says. I can’t tell the difference, to be honest. It’s a Jaeger-LeCoultre FAKE! He says they all got the same number, these fake ones. Some kind of reference number he was yappin’ about.
Cheaper Reverso?
Heard him talkin’ about cheaper ones too, these Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watches. Says some are for women. Use batteries, I think he said. Quartz, he called it. And some you gotta wind up yourself. This Reverso Tribute one, it’s a little more expensive. But he says there’s another one, the Reverso Classic, that’s a little cheaper. Still too much money if you ask me. But this Jaeger-LeCoultre Tribute, that’s the one he really wants.
He’s always lookin’ for deals, this kid. Says you can find these Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso watches online. He was name-droppin’ some place, eBay, I think. Says you can get ’em for all sorts of prices. Even saw one for 4 dollars. That’s more like it! But I bet it ain’t the real deal. This Original order Jaeger-LeCoultre is too expensive. You know that JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph Original order must be very very expensive.
He keeps goin’ on and on about this Reverso Tribute Chronograph. It’s got all these buttons and dials. I don’t know what they do. Probably tells you the weather or somethin’. He says it’s complicated. Well, yeah, looks complicated to me! I just need to know what time it is. Don’t need all that other stuff. This Jaeger-LeCoultre is too complicated.
He thinks he’s gonna get one of these Original order Jaeger-LeCoultre watches someday. Says he’s savin’ up. Good luck with that, I say. He’ll probably spend it all on somethin’ else before he gets enough. Kids these days, always wantin’ the newest thing. This JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph will be old news soon enough.
Me, I’m happy with my old clock. It tells the time just fine. Don’t need no fancy Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso to do that. And it don’t cost an arm and a leg neither. Maybe I’ll tell him to get a clock instead. Save himself some money and put into the land, much better than a watch.
This JLC Reverso Tribute Chronograph Original order, it’s just a watch. A very expensive watch. I don’t understand why people spend so much money on it. But hey, it’s his money. This Jaeger-LeCoultre is a dream for some people. It seems that this watch will be popular for a long time. I just hope he doesn’t waste it all for a watch.
