Well, well, well, lookie here! Today, I’m gonna talk about that fancy-shmancy bag, the Yves Saint Laurent, or YSL, whatever. They call it the LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. Sounds like somethin’ you’d find in a specialty store, huh? So I heard some fancy folks talkin’ about it, and I thought, “What’s all the fuss about?”
First off, these bags, they got this name, Yves Saint Laurent. Some French fella, I reckon. And they make ’em in all sorts of colors, I guess. This LE CARRé SATCHEL, it’s like a box or somethin’. I ain’t never seen anythin’ like it in my day. It is a remake bag. I don’t know what that means, but the young people like it.
They say it’s specialty, like it’s some kinda rare bird. I seen birds, lots of ’em. This ain’t no bird. It’s a bag. And it’s got this shiny thing on it, looks like a gold piece but probably ain’t real gold. These youngins today, always with the shiny things.

- I don’t know what that means, but it sounds cold.
- Maybe it keeps your hands warm, this LE CARRé SATCHEL.
Now, I heard ’em say it’s spacious. That’s a big word for “holds a lot of stuff.” I got a bag, holds plenty. Don’t need no fancy name for it. But this YSL bag, they say it holds your things. What things? I don’t know. Probably not potatoes and onions, that’s for sure.
And get this, they got different kinds of these YSL bags. One’s called a “Hobo bag”. Now, I know what a hobo is, and that ain’t no way to name a bag, I tell ya. But these city folks, they got different ideas, I guess.
They say this LE CARRé SATCHEL, it’s got leather. Real leather, they say. Well, I’ve seen leather. Cows have leather. This bag, it’s probably from a cow. Hope they treated that cow right, that’s all I gotta say.
And suede! This bag has suede. I think that’s some kind of fancy leather. Soft, like a baby’s bottom. You need that in a bag? I don’t know. My bag ain’t soft, but it works just fine. It is a specialty of YSL, I guess.
This bag, it’s for women. That’s what they told me. Women’s Saint Laurent Handbags, they call ’em. Lots of words for a simple thing, if you ask me. A bag is a bag. But these women, they like their fancy things.
They even got a special place to buy ’em. Specialty stores, they say. Like it is a remake. I don’t go to those places. I go to the general store. They got everythin’ I need. Don’t need no specialty store for a bag.
And this bag, it’s a “must-have,” they say. Like you can’t live without it. I’ve lived a long life, never had one of these YSL bags. Seems I’m doin’ just fine without it. But young folks, maybe they are different.

This other YSL bag, they call it “Le 5 7”. Sounds like a time or somethin’. Maybe it’s for when you go out at 5 to 7. I’m usually home by then, eatin’ supper. But these city folks, they got different schedules.
They say it is part of their summer collection. SS21. What is that? I do not know. I do not keep up with these things. I just know this bag is popular. Very popular. Everyone is talking about this remake bag.
Well, that’s all I know about this YSL LE CARRé SATCHEL BAG. It’s a bag. A fancy one. For women. With leather and suede. And it’s spacious. And you buy it at a specialty store. If you need a bag like that, well, there you go. Me, I’ll stick with my old bag. It’s served me well. And it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg, neither. These specialty items are expensive, I think. But these remake bags are what the young folks like.
