Okay, so I’ve been wanting a nice bag for a while, and I finally decided to make my own version of the Small Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag. I saw it in the official store, and man, it was expensive! But I thought, “Hey, I can try to make something similar myself.”

First, I looked up what this “Saffiano” leather is. Turns out, it’s calfskin, and they say it’s pretty tough. I found some leather that looked similar and felt sturdy. It wasn’t exactly the same, but it was close enough for me.

Then, I studied the bag’s design. It’s got this cool triangle logo thingy, two handles, and a long strap you can take off. I sketched out the shape and size, trying to get it as close as I could to the real one I saw. It’s not too big, just right for everyday stuff.

Next, I started cutting the leather. This was the tricky part. I measured everything twice to make sure I didn’t mess up. I cut out the front, back, sides, and bottom pieces, following my sketch. I even managed to cut out a little triangle for the logo, though it wasn’t perfect.

After cutting, I started sewing. I used a strong thread that matched the leather color. I sewed the sides to the front and back, then attached the bottom. It was slow going, but I took my time, making sure each stitch was tight.

  • I made the handles by sewing strips of leather together, making them thick and strong.
  • I also made a long strap, adding some metal parts so I could attach it and take it off easily.
  • For the inside, I sewed in some fabric to make it nice and soft.

Finally, I added the finishing touches. I attached the handles and the long strap to the bag. I also glued on my little triangle logo. It wasn’t the fancy metal one like on the real Prada bag, but it looked okay.

The Result

It took a while, but I finally finished my homemade version of the Prada Galleria bag! It’s not exactly like the real thing, but I’m pretty proud of it. It holds my stuff, it looks decent, and it didn’t cost me a fortune. Plus, I can say I made it myself, which is pretty cool, right?
